Five years ago, after my divorce I moved back to Winfield. Being new to mothering and single parenting I needed to get my life back on track. My first mistake was thinking that a new man would help. This mistake cost me my job, my car, my self-esteem, almost my home, but most importantly my daughter. Realizing this, I sought help through the Eagle Nest.
My first step was participating in their F.L.I.T.E. class. This class not only helped me to regain my self-esteem but allowed me to get back to work. The second class provided me with the tools and skills to keep my job and to provide for myself and daughter.
I’ve come a long way with the support and help from the wonderful women at Eagle Nest. They didn’t just give me a handout but also a handful of hearts and a never closing door. For that, I am truly grateful.
